Thram battles to an Outlaws top-ten at Kennedale; Oklahoma double on tap
In all, it was a great Texas effort by Minnesota's own Christopher Thram, kicking off his 2026 campaign by joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in the two-day Cowtown Classic at Kennedale Speedway Park on Friday and Saturday, March 13-14.
Launching his weekend in a big way, Thram was a frontrunner in much of Friday's program, capping the $12,000-to-win showcase with a seventh-place finish, all of which activated with a runner-up heat race result and an eventual dash victory.
With intentions to keep his momentum strong, Thram will continue his tour of America's Heartland with another Outlaws double in Oklahoma, this time visiting Lawton Speedway and Creek County Speedway on March 20-21.
Unfortunately, Saturday's Kennedale finale was eventually postponed due to a fatal incident involving a Series official.
"Extremely saddened by what transpired with the safety emergency. The racing community is one big family and it pains us all when something like that happens. Everyone with the World of Outlaws is in our thoughts and prayers."
