Thram battles Outlaws through Upper Midwest; Three days at Huset's ahead
It was a four-race week through the Upper Midwest for Sanborn, Minnesota's Christopher Thram, battling not only the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in a three-race trip through Wisconsin and North Dakota, but eventually concluding his travels with a Sunday night stop at Huset's Speedway. When the dust finally settled, Thram found himself with a podium outcome, finishing second to Ryan Timms in the aforementioned visit to the Huset's highbanks. Thram set the tone early, winning his respective heat race over Sioux Falls' own Kaleb Johnson.
As noted, Thram launched his week's agenda with three straight World of Outlaws starts, finishing 16th, 13th, and 15th in visits to Mississippi Thunder Speedway, River Cities Speedway, and Red Red Valley Speedway in respective fashion. Although short of the top-ten, Thram will get a shot at redemption soon, rejoining the Greatest Show On Dirt in a Huset's doubleheader August 30-31. The weekend will technically commence with a Huset's "weekly" program on Friday, August 29.
